The standard 1.8m CCA treated pine paling at 100 x 16mm, cut flat across the top rather than pointed. Flat top gives you a straight, modern finish across the run and lets you cap the fence later if you want to.

Palings get bought by the hundred, so consistency matters more than anything else. These run true to width and thickness, which means fewer gaps to fuss over, less sorting through the pack on site, and a crew that can just keep fixing instead of stopping to pick and choose.

Sizing Sold individually. A butted 1.8m fence uses roughly 10 palings per metre of run. Allow a few extra for cuts and the odd reject.
