Timber Rustic Charcoal Concrete Sleeper

The Timber Rustic Charcoal Concrete Sleeper brings the warmth of aged charcoal timber to your garden without any of the maintenance that comes with real wood.

Crafted from high strength concrete with a realistic woodgrain texture and deep charcoal finish, these sleepers look the part in rural, farmhouse and contemporary garden settings alike. Two embedded N12 steel reinforcement bars give them the structural backbone to handle serious retaining applications, with a design life of 60 years and zero risk of rot, warping or termite damage.

Available in 1.6m, 2.0m and 2.4m lengths, slot them between galvanised steel posts for retaining walls, raised garden beds, terraced landscaping or decorative edging that holds its look for decades.

Exact Measurements When setting your posts, use the exact installed lengths below as your guide. Sleepers are manufactured slightly shorter to fit neatly into post channels.

• 1.6m Sleeper = 1591mm length
• 2.0m Sleeper = 1991mm length
• 2.4m Sleeper = 2391mm length

• 1.6m Sleeper = 60kg
• 2.0m Sleeper = 70kg
• 2.4m Sleeper = 80kg

What is a 2 Bar or 3 Bar Concrete Sleeper? This simply refers to how many bars of reinforcing steel are inside each sleeper. 2 bar holds two bars of reo and 3 bar holds three. Unless you are building an engineer certified wall above 1.1m you will not need 3 bar. We generally only supply 2 bar for domestic jobs. If you are building a tall retaining wall please seek advice from an engineer.

Ordering & Delivery Please make your selection and order online. You will be able to choose to pick up in store free of charge or have the product delivered directly to you.

For orders of 10 or more sleepers we always recommend having the product delivered direct from the supplier by crane truck, placed directly at your site in a convenient location. The cost for direct delivery around the Brisbane area will depend on your exact location, quantity and total weight, ranging from roughly $190 to $399.

To arrange delivery simply place your order online, choose delivery and add your address. You will be charged at our standard delivery rate. Once we receive your order we will negotiate the best supplier freight price and contact you via email or phone on the same day, or next business day if your order is placed after hours, to advise your freight quote. You can then pay the difference and we will get your order out on your required timeframe.

If you are not happy with the freight quote we will offer a full refund, or you can arrange your own freight from our yard and we will refund the delivery charge. We always do our best to make this process as easy and cost effective as possible.

Exact sleeper lengths are 10mm shorter than nominal size, so set your posts at exactly 1.6m, 2.0m or 2.4m.
