A heavy yarn court surface built for tropical and subtropical courts where the pile gets crushed during install.

Pro 17 is a heavy weight polyethylene court turf made in Melbourne on the same machinery as Court Turf PE, with a higher yarn content. APT pitch it specifically at tropical and subtropical climates, where heat during installation is what crushes a lighter pile before the court ever gets played on. That is a South East Queensland problem, which is why it is worth knowing about here.

The extra yarn means it needs less sand infill than Court Turf PE, so there is less sand to buy and less to top up later. It lays over asphalt or concrete and suits tennis, basketball, netball and volleyball at residential and club level.
