Vials calibrated to 0.5mm per metre, in a profile built to survive living in the ute.

0.5mm per metre is the number that matters. Across a 2000mm level that is a millimetre of error end to end, which is close enough that you can set a frame or a course off it and trust what you get. A level that has quietly drifted out is worse than no level at all, because you have no way of knowing it has.

The top and bottom faces are fine milled, so it reads the same whichever way up you sit it on the work. The profile is ribbed for grip and easy to wipe down when it picks up render, and the 9mm rubber end caps take the hit when it goes over on a slab, which is exactly how most levels get knocked out of true.
