45m of 2.5mm extra bold line, wound back in at a 4 to 1 gear ratio.

The 2.5mm line is the reason to go for the giant reel. A thicker line carries more chalk, so a single snap lays down a heavy, unmistakable mark that still reads across a dusty slab in full sun. Thin line gives you a faint mark you end up snapping twice.

With 45m on the spool you can pull a line the length of a slab or a full wall without running out, and the 4 to 1 planetary gears mean winding all that back in takes a fraction of the cranking a direct drive reel needs. The crank itself is steel, which is where cheap reels fail first. The ABS body takes the drops, the rubber overmould holds in a dusty hand, and the reel stands on its side for hands free refills.
