A hockey surface designed to play without irrigation, for grounds where watering a pitch is not on the table.

Poligras H2OZ COOLplus is a sand dressed hockey surface built for places that cannot irrigate. Elite hockey is played on water based turf, and a water based pitch needs a sprinkler system and the water to run it, which most schools and councils do not have. H2OZ is Polytan's answer to that, and it carries COOLplus infrared reflective pigment, which they say keeps the surface up to 20% cooler than similar artificial grass.

It is dressed with sand rather than filled, and it takes netball, tennis and futsal as well as hockey, which is what makes it work for a school that has one court and four sports. Polytan give it FIH Gen 2 Multi-Sport classification, which FIH define as a surface for a number of sports on which community and development level hockey can be played.
