Forged from one piece of high carbon steel, so there is nothing on it that can come apart.

A wrecking bar is a lever you deliberately overload. Anything welded or pressed together has a weak point waiting for the day you put a scaffold tube over the end. This one is forged from a single piece of steel, so the load runs through solid bar the whole way and there is no joint to fail.

The steel is hardened and tempered, which keeps the claw and the chisel end sharp enough to get under a board or into a joint rather than skating off it and blunting out after a few jobs.
