15mm square notch for getting full bed coverage under big format tile.

Notch size decides how much adhesive ends up under the tile, and 15mm is a deep notch. That is what you want under large format tiles and on uneven substrates, because it gives you enough bed to collapse down and fill the hollows instead of leaving voids that crack the tile later when someone stands on it.

The square notch profile leaves ridges with flat tops rather than triangles, which collapse more evenly when you beat the tile in. Dual edges mean you get a second working edge before the trowel is done, and the full aluminium shank keeps the blade rigid under load while keeping the tool light enough to swing all day.
