A flexible stainless blade with a full length tang, so it bends where you want it to and not at the handle.

A joint knife lives or dies on how it flexes. Too stiff and you leave ridges, too floppy and you cannot load the joint. This one is flexible stainless with the tang running the full length of the handle, so the flex is all in the blade and the join stays solid no matter how hard you lean on it.

There is a brass end on the handle for striking, which is there to knock popped nails and screws back below the surface before you set the joint, so you are not putting the knife down to find a hammer. Stainless means it does not rust in the bucket and will not bleed a stain into a finish coat, and the tapered duragrip handle keeps your hand from cramping across a long day of jointing.
