Loose chisels in a tool bag blunt each other and eventually find your hand. This holder puts two of them on your hip, edge protected and within reach, so you are not putting the tool down on the scaffold every time you swap.

The leather is heavy duty oil tanned split hide at 3mm or more thick, which is what stops a chisel edge cutting its way out the side of the pocket after a few months. It is fixed with nickel rivets rather than stitching alone, and the belt slot takes belts up to 75mm wide so it fits a proper rigger's belt, not just a narrow one.
