50mm oil tanned leather at over 3mm thick, so a loaded rig does not fold it over.

Belt thickness decides whether your tool rig sits where you put it. At over 3mm, the oil tanned split leather stays rigid enough that a loaded pouch will not roll the belt over on itself and drag your trousers down with it. That rolling is the thing that makes a thin belt unwearable by lunchtime.

The buckle is a roller type, so the tongue turns instead of dragging across the leather every time you do it up, and the belt lasts a lot longer at the hole you actually use. Stitching is water resistant nylon and the rivets are nickel, so a wet week does not rot the seams or run rust streaks down the leather.
