A 115mm bolster, wide enough to split a standard brick in one hit.

The 115mm blade is the number that matters here. That is the width of a standard brick, so the cutting edge spans the whole face and the brick shears on one clean line. Go narrower and you are working across the brick in stages, which is where the ragged breaks and the wasted bricks come from.
