OX Square Front Trowel

The square front gets right into the corner that a pointed trowel walks past.

On a return, up against a reveal or into the corner of a bond beam, a pointed blade only ever touches with its tip. A square front lets you lay the full width of the blade in and strike the whole joint in one pass, so you are not going back over the same corner three times.

The shank is a heavy duty forged straight design, which is the part that bends or snaps on a lighter trowel once you start loading it with a full lump of mud. The blade is high quality carbon steel, so it wears in and takes a working edge. The OXGRIP handle has a finger stop, which keeps your hand off the blade when it is wet and slippery.
