One piece high impact plastic, so there is nothing on it to come apart in the mortar.

Line blocks get a hard life. They are dropped off scaffold, buried in mortar, pulled tight against a corner all day and left in the weather. A one piece high impact plastic body has no join to split open and no steel to rust up, so it keeps its grip on the corner and holds the line exactly where you set it.

They come two to a pack, which is what you need anyway because a line block on its own is no use to anyone.
