ABS float with a diamond pattern base for keying up a render coat.

The diamond pattern in the base is what does the work. It scratches a consistent key into the render as you float it, which gives the next coat something to grab onto, and it stops the float sucking flat onto a wet wall the way a smooth face does.

High strength ABS means it is light enough to hold up against a wall all day, and it will not swell, rot or go out of true the way a timber float does once it has spent a few weeks in a wet bucket.
