The parrot beak profile is the difference. The curved jaws let you work into a curve or open out a larger hole, so you can shape a tile around a pipe, a tap or a corner that a straight cut will never give you. You take small bites and sneak up on the line rather than committing to one cut.

The nipping set is solid tungsten with a ground and polished finish, which holds its edge through hard glazed ceramic instead of rounding off and starting to crush the tile. It sits in a high quality drop forged steel body, and the Duragrip handles give you comfort and better leverage when you are squeezing hundreds of times a day.
