One piece spring steel, so it follows the wall instead of fighting it.

Spring steel flexes and comes straight back. Running a joint on a wall that is not perfectly true, that flex lets the tool ride the line and keep an even profile, where a rigid jointer skips and leaves you going back over it. Being one piece means there is no joint in the tool to work loose after a few thousand metres.

The bright steel finish is the other thing you notice. Mortar does not grab it the way it grabs a rough finish, so you get a cleaner strike as you go and a much faster clean up at the end of the day. The OXGRIP handle takes the sting out of a full day of joints.
