356mm wide clears a lot of floor per pass, but a wide blade is only worth having if the head stays rigid. That is what the multiple bracing points do. Without them a blade this width flexes and skips straight over the hard stuff you are actually trying to remove.

The hardwood handle takes the shoving and levering this job involves, which is more than most handles see.
