A dry core bit for brick and block that clears its own dust instead of packing up in the hole.

The slotted barrel is what makes this one worth having. Dry drilling into brick makes a lot of fine dust, and if it has nowhere to go it packs around the barrel, the bit stops cutting and starts polishing, and you cook the segments. The slots let that dust out as you go and they also give you something to lever against when you are knocking the core out afterwards.

Segments are a high concentration self sharpening bond on a high grade steel barrel, so the diamond keeps exposing fresh edge rather than glazing. It is built for medium and soft bricks, lightweight and dense concrete blocks and abrasive concrete products, with occasional use in harder material like semi engineering bricks and clay products.
