A fixed angle walking float for opening up a slab before you start trowelling.

The blade is 160 x 210mm, which is a small enough footprint to work a slab without riding over dips and leaving them there. Floating brings the cream up and knocks the aggregate down, and doing that on a pole means you cover the slab from the edge instead of kneeling on concrete you have just worked.

The bracket is fixed rather than tilting, so the blade sits at one set angle and stays there. On a straight float pass that is what you want, nothing moving underfoot and nothing to reset halfway across. The high grade stainless blade cleans up easily and keeps its shape.
