An adjustable wrench with a slim head, so it fits where the shifter usually will not.

The jaw on this one opens wider than a standard shifter of the same length, so a 200mm wrench takes a 50mm nut instead of forcing you to carry the next size up. Fewer tools in the bag for the same range of work.

The head is deliberately slim and the jaw is extra thin, which is what gets you onto a fitting buried against a wall or up behind a frame where a chunky head simply will not sit square. There is a measurement scale on the jaw so you can size a nut without hunting for a gauge, and the whole head is precision hardened so the jaws do not spread under load.
