The V-groove base is why this one sits still on a pipe instead of rolling off it.

The base is fine milled with a V-groove down the middle, so it seats itself on round stock. Set it on a pipe, a conduit run or a handrail and it stays there while you work, which means you are not holding the level with one hand and the pipe with the other.

Accuracy is better than 0.5mm per metre, so what you read is what you get. It is professional die cast aluminium with three solid block vials, and the horizontal vial is fitted so you can look straight at the bubble instead of crouching down to read it side on.
