Every nail punch you have owned has rolled off a joist and disappeared into the grass. The hexagonal profile on this one stops that, which sounds small until you count how much of your day goes on finding tools on an uneven floor or a stack of framing.

The steel core runs unbroken from the tip to the head, so the hammer blow goes straight into the nail rather than being soaked up by a joint halfway down. The broad grip head gives you a bigger target, so a glancing hit lands on the punch and not on the hand holding it.
