A magnesium float that opens the surface up instead of tearing it.

Magnesium is light and it does not drag, which is why it is the float you reach for on the first pass while the slab is still green. It brings the cream up and knocks the ridges off without sealing the surface over.

The ends are bevelled and the corners are rounded. That is the detail that stops you cutting a line into a slab when you drop a corner or push a bit hard at the end of a stroke, and it means less patching before the final finish. The OX Duragrip handle takes the sting out of a long pour.
