A joint knife with a brass hammer end, so you knock proud fixings down without putting the knife down.

The tang runs the full length of the handle through to that brass end. That is what lets you tap a popped nail or a proud screw flat mid run without the blade working loose in the handle, which is how most joint knives eventually die.

The blade itself is flexible stainless steel, so it follows the board and lays compound flat instead of scraping it back out of the joint, and the tapered DURAGRIP handle keeps your hand from cramping when you are jointing a whole house in a day.
