The jaws on the OX Pro Aluminium Stillson Wrench are deeply grooved, which gives instant bite on a pipe and lets you ratchet the wrench back without resetting your grip. On a fitting that needs half a dozen pulls that is the difference between a quick job and a knuckle-skinning one.

The body is forged aluminium so it is a lot lighter to carry and hold overhead than a cast iron stillson, and the adjustment nut is hardened and tempered steel because that is the part that strips out first on a cheap wrench.
