Soft abrasive materials like asphalt wear a diamond blade out from the wrong direction. Instead of the segments wearing down evenly, the abrasive grit erodes the steel core underneath them and the segments let go. The OX Premium Turbo Segmented Blade Abrasive is built with wedge undercut protection specifically to stop that core erosion.

The 10mm flat segments give you plenty of depth to wear through, so you get a genuine working life out of it rather than a handful of cuts.
