How to Use It

1. Site Preparation: Consult local council regulations prior to construction. Mark out the ground where the wall will be located using stakes and a string line or spray paint.

2. Calculate Materials: Measure the proposed wall height and length to determine the number of blocks required. Include the necessary corner blocks in your calculations, adding an extra 5% to cover any mishaps.

3. Excavation: Dig a shallow trench approximately 130mm deep and 350mm wide along the marked line, removing any roots and soft earth.

4. Levelling Pad: Fill the trench with coarse sand or road base to create a 100mm thick levelling pad. Compact and level the material to provide a stable foundation.

5. First Course: Place the Linearwall® Left-Hand Corner Block at the designated corner position on the levelling pad. Ensure it is level side to side and front to back using a spirit level. Continue placing standard Linearwall® blocks adjacent to the corner block, aligning them properly.

6. Drainage Installation: Install a 100mm diameter subsoil pipe behind the first course and surround it with 12-20mm clean, free-draining granular material such as gravel or blue metal.

7. Backfilling: Place drainage material 150mm wide behind the first course. Shovel and compact the backfill (existing site soil) behind the drainage material.

8. Subsequent Courses: Sweep the top of the previous course clean. Place the next course of Linearwall® units in a running bond pattern, ensuring each block is properly aligned and seated. Continue stacking, backfilling, and compacting until the desired wall height is achieved.
