Adbri Masonry Versawall Retaining Wall Block - Oatmeal

An interlocking block that builds a straight-up retaining wall to 800mm without reinforcement, with matching corners and caps so the job finishes clean.

Versawall is a split-face concrete block at 400 x 215 x 200mm with stacking lugs on top and interlocking joints on the sides. That means each course locks onto the one below and lines itself up, so you are not fighting the wall level by level the way you do with flat-faced blocks.

Lay it on a compacted roadbase, concrete or Torpedo base footing, fill the block cores with drainage aggregate and keep a 300mm column of drainage aggregate behind the wall. Adbri rates it at 800mm plus cap (4 courses) without reinforcement, where the ground at the top is level and nothing sits on top of the wall. Anything higher, up to 1400mm, needs an engineer's design and No Fines Concrete, and Adbri says to check with your local council for any wall over 800mm. To finish, knock the lugs off the top course and glue the caps down. Because Versawall corners and caps are part of the same system, one order covers the whole wall, which matters when a missing piece is what stops a crew on site.
