The rhomboid section is what makes the fibre stand back up after a boot goes through it, which is the whole game on a field that gets 60 hours of play a week. It carries COOLplus, Polytan's infrared reflective pigment, which they say keeps the surface up to 20% cooler than similar artificial grass.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a full system, not a roll you lay on dirt. It sits over an elastic shockpad on engineered pavement, and takes a two part infill, a performance layer of recycled SBR or EPDM granule over kiln dried silica sand.
