Because it is laid on a thin bed of sand and cement, each block can be tapped level with a mallet, which takes the guesswork and the screeding skill out of getting the base right.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLay the blocks in the trench on no more than 25mm of cement stabilised bedding sand, tap them level, then glue the first course of wall blocks to the centre of each base block with a landscape grade adhesive. Adbri shows it under Versawall and says it suits other retaining wall blocks too. It is only for footings of unreinforced gravity walls built to Adbri's published maximum heights, not engineered walls.
